The complex nose reveals rich aromas of juicy black cherries, plums and blackcurrants followed by fragrant cedar wood and tobacco notes, showing distinctive character of a classic Cabernet Sauvignon. The nose follows on to a full rounded palate of developing flavours of black olives, cassis and subtle oak spice, with some fine ripe tannins giving a long soft finish. This elegant and fresh Cabernet has a well-balanced mouthfeel and a clean black fruit farewell.

Trade Winds’ heritage reflects the adventures of its founders, Martin Voigt and Richard Wells, friends and long-time wine aficionados. They wanted a brand name which embodied an exciting and trusted choice in high quality wines. As an international aviator, Martin spent many hours navigating over the oceans of the world, contemplating the voyages of mariners in the days of sail when the most critical and reliable of the elements affecting their explorations were the trade winds. Capturing this essence of reliability and adventure, the brand seeks to inspire your very own wine journey of discovery. With decades of experience in the wine industry, Honorary Cape Wine Master and Master Blender Colin Frith, has long term relationships with several wine estates. Based in Stellenbosch, every season he tastes and selects to source produce for the specific balance in wine profile he is seeking to so expertly create.
