The Mont Rochelle Miko Syrah 2012 is a remarkably youthful wine with a distinct purple colour. This is a Rhone-style wine that also contains Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. The wine is produced with minimal intervention in the cellar, ensuring it showcases the characteristics of the terroir.
The Mont Rochelle Miko Syrah has aromas of black fruits, cloves, black olives and cracked pepper. This Syrah has an elegant palate has lots of underlying fruit profiles and a polished tannin profile.
The Month Rochelle Mountain Vinyard cultivates and nurtures grapes between 250 and 400 meters above sea level exposing the grapes to a unique micro-climate. The cool air from the South Easter wind brings cool air over the vineyards allowing for a longer ripening period.

The grounds at Mont Rochelle cover 39 hectares (about 100 acres) and you’re welcome to go exploring. A favourite activity for many of our guests is picnicking on the estate – our kitchen can arrange a well-stocked picnic basket with a chilled bottle of wine (or two!). There are two restaurants, a cosy bar, a spa, a gym and a heated outdoor pool. That’s not forgetting a 37 hectare vineyard and wine cellar of course!
