Merwida Papenkuils Pinot Grigio 2022

This light bodied, crisp Pinot Grigio displays a brilliant pale straw colour. It has a light floral perfume of honeysuckle and orange blossom on the nose with gentle notes of lime, lemon, pear and stone fruit that carry on through onto the palate. It is supported by a gentle acidity and light-bodied mouthfeel.

Merwida blossoms with Kukumakranka, Waterblommetjie, and Vleivygie, the indigenous wetland flowers that are portrayed on the new Papenkuils range of exceptional wines. Cape Wine Master Lieza van der Merwe, from the acclaimed Merwida Wines, recently launched these wines that highlight the unique natural heritage of the Breede River wetlands between Rawsonville and Worcester. The Papenkuils range pays homage to the region’s endemic vegetation and the distinctive scenery.
