The Cocoa Hill Red 2018 by Dornier shows aromas of black and red fruit, pepper and a hint of spice. A well-balanced flavourful red blend with concentrated fruit, fresh acidity and fine tannins that lead to a lingering finish.
The Cocoa Hill Red is a blend of Merlot, Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, Malbec and Cabernet Franc. This blend is ready to drink but will reach its optimum ageing in five years. Perfectly paired alongside a charcuterie platter and smoked kudu carpaccio.
The range by Dornier is produced from grapes grown in the decomposed red granite soil of the Cocoa Hills.
Dornier Wine Estate is situated at the foot of Stellenbosch Mountain. The focus is to produce premium quality wines that are expressive of the terrific terroir. The ancient decomposed granite soils and south-facing slopes produce elegant wines with complex structure.
