De Grendel Merlot 2020

The De Grendel Merlot 2018 is bright ruby in colour with a light red rim. This Merlot has a variety of aromas of truffles, violets, plums, cherry and forest floor.

A medium-bodied Merlot overflowing with juicy fruit, wonderful texture, fine-grained tannins and a silky finish. The De Grendel Merlot pairs well with lighter dishes like crumbed pork with mustard sauce or spaghetti topped with spicy tomato sauce.

De Grendel is not just one of the oldest farms in Cape Town, it is the only vineyard in South Africa that is 350m above sea level and only seven kilometers from the ocean. The farm is a testament to the centuries-old history of the Graaff family.
