Attractive fresh cut apple, lemon blossoms, supported by deeper oak perfume, quince paste and macadamia nut complexity. The palate is zesty with lemon and lime over almond paste texture, lightly toasted nuts, and a lingering ripe yellow stone fruit concentration. There is a lovely balance between the citric line of acidity and richer fruit weight. Full of flavour, yet elegant and nicely reigned in. As the wine opens up aromas of fynbos and will fennel persist on a very long and refined finish. Complex, layered and delicious right now, drink 2021 – 2025.
Anysbos was established in 2008 by Johan and Sue Heyns. It is a passion-driven project focused on grapes grown on the farm and, together with the expert winemaking skills of Marelise Niemann of Momento Wines, the aim is to produce small-batch wines that not only reflect the Bot River region but, most importantly, are sustainable and water-wise.
