The Anno 1693 is a Bordeaux style blend made with Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grapes. The grapes are grown and nurtured on the Normandie Est 1693 estate. The fruit bunches are sorted and handpicked in the vineyards to ensure even ripeness.
The wine holds a deep ruby colour with aromas of ripe berries. Along with the scent of pencil shavings, this red blend is packed with a mixture of red and blackberries.
The palate is flavours of ripe red cherries with a spicy undertone. It has delicate notes of oak, pencil shavings, cassis and red fruits. The tannins are gripping on the mid-palate with lingering ripe fruit and a balanced after taste.
