Fryers Cove is located 500 meters from where the cold ocean breaks against a rocky shore in Doringbaai, in the Bamboes Bay ward, the smallest ward in South Africa. The winery was named after the first commercial farmer in the area.

The robust and unfettered landscape serves as the perfect terroir that imbues every bottle of Fryers Cove wine and gives it a distinct maritime flavour. Wines that are forged of the earth  and tempered by the sea.
