Dainty Bess, named after a hybrid-tea rose, is a Cap Classique made from Pinot Noir from a small vineyard planted at Klein Optenhorst. The current owner and producer originally started making the Dainty Bess in 2009, in memory of the special occasions at her family home.
Dainty Bess is matured for three years on the lees before being released and is deliciously dry with a complexity that comes from long lees ageing.
