Alheit Vineyards, founded in 2011, is situated high on the Hemel-en-Aarde Ridge in Walker Bay. The owners are a well-travelled husband and wife team who have worked harvests together across the globe. They have a minimalist winemaking approach that delivers wines with ample power and has fine form without being bulky.

The grapes used to produce Alheit wines are sourced from extraordinary old dry-farmed bush vine vineyards. These vineyard blocks are located in Skurfberg, Perdeberg, Bottelary Hills, False Bay, Botrivier and Franschhoek. The grapes are whole bunch pressed before being naturally fermented in old oak barrels with no added enzymes, sulphur or yeast.
