Duncan Savage from Savage Wines will be releasing his new vintages at the end of August and it’s excitement all round!

Duncan says “2023 marks the 11th release from Savage Wines. A release focused on the 2022 vintage with one 2021 in the form of Savage Red. We continue to operate from our city home in Salt River developing and farming parcels of vines in various locations around the Western Cape.2022 was a particularly challenging vintage. We had a lot of heat early in the season which hut the vines down for a while resulting in a slower start to the harvest. Fortunately for us, all the hard work in the vineyards, especially mulching, paid off and we saw the rest of the season yielding some incredible fruit. It was definitely a winemaker’s vintage, fruit needed to be extensively sorted, ferments were slightly cooler and we kept time on skins limited. In all we are extremely happy with the wines we have put to bottle and hope you will enjoy them over many years to come.”

We have received our smaller than usual allocation and are happy to share them with our loyal customers with our pre-release offer! As usual these wines are  limited and available on a first come, first served basis. We regret our “Girl Next Door” & “Thief in the Night” are sold out. Wines will be delivered or ready for collection early September.
