The 2023 harvest has so far been interesting and unpredictable in most areas with forecast of lower production than 2022 yet quality being better. The rains we received in 2022 helped keep our dams relatively full all helping with irrigation management. The harvest season, which started early January, has seen cooler picking conditions yet with lower yields but with reports of excellent quality fruit which bodes for a good vintage overall!

Looking for an older or sold out wine?
We opened our two stores over two decades ago and as a result have developed close relationships with many wineries and producers. We mention this in case you are perhaps looking for a wine that may no longer be available as we may be able to secure that special bottle for you.

Flavour Focus evenings at Wine Concepts Newlands

Our Flavour Focus tastings are held on a monthly basis on the last Friday of each month

Our theme for our flavour focus in March celebrates Chenin Blanc and Pinotage wines. As follows:
On Friday 31^st March from 4.00pm – 7.00pm we will have a selection of Chenin Blanc and Pinotage wines from Le Chant, Oldenburg, Stellenrust, Bellingham and De Grendel

And on Wednesday 5^th April we have our Newlands Village Open Evening from 16.00 – 20.00 and you are welcome to come and enjoy a tasting of Chenin and Pinotage and other wines from — Wildekrans, Adi Badenhorst, Catherine Marshall and Glen Carlou.
