As 2023 gathers momentum we are welcoming back our customers who are looking well rested after the break! The kids are shortly back at school, varsities open soon and for most of us it’s the start of the daily grind but with exciting new challenges for the year ahead. The heat is on in the vineyards and the picking of the grapes for our local MCC bubblies will start in earnest soon if not already in some regions.

Looking for an older or sold out wine?
We opened our two stores over two decades ago and as a result have developed close relationships with many wineries and producers. We mention this in case you are perhaps looking for a wine that may no longer be available as we may be able to secure that special bottle for you.

V’know Wine Appreciation Pack – January/February 2023
The twelfth edition of our successful V’know Wine Appreciation Pack is available! An exciting selection of six delicious wines with the detailed description of each of the wines included in the pack plus a glossary of wine terms referred to.

Flavour Focus evenings at Wine Concepts Newlands

Our Flavour Focus tastings are held on a monthly basis on the last Friday of each month.

Our theme for our flavour focus in January is on “Wines to celebrate 2023”.

On Friday 27^th January from 4.00pm – 7.00pm we will have wines from Van Loveren, HermanusPF, Raka, Kaapzicht, Altydgedact, Bartinney, Plaisir de Merle and Simonsig.

And on Wednesday 1^st February we have our Newlands Village Open Evening from 16.00 – 20.00 and you are welcome to come and enjoy a tasting of wines from Eenzaamheid, Leeuwenkuil, Muratie and Bellingham.

There is no charge so come and enjoy a tasting or two before you buy a few bottles to take home with you (If you purchase on the evening you will stand a chance to win a selected pack of the products tasted). Congratulations to our recent winners, Lieze Norval and Sean Burmeister.
