After a few years of the unprecedented pandemic we start to welcome back our popular focused wine festivals with the first one to be held on Sunday 9th October from 12.00 – 15.00, being our Chardonnay and Pinot Noir Celebration in collaboration with The Vineyard Hotel celebrating International Garden Day. Guests will be treated to a fine selection of charming Chardonnay’s and praise-worthy Pinot Noir’s on the lawns of the magnificent gardens of The Vineyard Hotel! This popular annual festival gives wine lovers the opportunity to taste the best offering of these two noble varietals from a select 30 of the country’s top producers.

Each month we offer awesome competitions and promotions in both our stores with incredible prizes! Details of these are below… so come and participate when next in our stores… you could be in line to win!

Looking for an older or sold out wine?
We opened our two stores over two decades ago and as a result have developed close relationships with many wineries and producers. We mention this in case you are perhaps looking for a wine that may no longer be available as we may be able to secure that special bottle for you.

Limited releases
Arriving on our shelves are the new vintage releases from several of the smaller producers such as Van Loggerenberg, Sadie Family Wines, Alheit, Crystallum and David & Nadia amongst others.

V’know Wine Appreciation Pack – July/August 2022
The tenth edition of our successful V’know Wine Appreciation Pack is available! An exciting selection of six delicious wines with the detailed description of each of the wines included in the pack plus a glossary of wine terms referred to.

Our fortnightly wine mailer called Wine Gems invites you every fortnight to discover a selection of wines from 2 estates available from our online store.

Flavour Focus evening for August at Wine Concepts Newlands

Our Flavour Focus tastings are held on a monthly basis on the first Wednesday and last Friday of each month.

Our theme for our flavour focus in August is on Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.

On Friday 26^th August from 4.00pm – 7.00pm we will have wines from Elgin Vintners, Glen Carlou and Compagniesdrift.

Our theme for our flavour focus in September is on Merlot and unusual white wines.

On Wednesday 7^th September from 4.00pm – 7.00pm we will have wines from Vrede en Lust, Morgenster and Bloemendal

There is no charge so come and enjoy a tasting or two before you buy a few bottles to take home with you (If you purchase on the evening you will stand a chance to win a selected pack of the products tasted). Congratulations to our recent winners Terri Lockhart, Jaclyn Goliath and Anina Botha.
