Named the Best Cabernet Sauvignon in the World by the prestigious Concours International des Cabernets wine competition last week the team at David Finlayson were kind enough for us to try it and we were blown away.

The GS Cabernet Sauvignon is no stranger to accolades and awards and is consistently one of the finest wines made in South Africa.

Named after George Spies who made two vintages of GS Cabernet in 1966 and 1968, his wines have become legendary and recently beat some first growth Bordeauxs in blind tastings but we digress.

David’s mission was to make a premium world class Cabernet Sauvignon and he is succeeding vintage after vintage!
