Background: This grand estate is steeped in history with added French flair since 1993.Traditional and restrained wine making are reflected in their award winning wines. The Merlot 2010 is produced from vines aged between 8 and 19 years which are planted on 9.5 hectares on the estate. After fermentation the wine lay in French Oak for 18 months before bottling.

Result: Deep velvety colour with aromas of black cherry and hints of nutty nougat. The palate followed smoothly with rich savoury black cherry fruit with subtle spice and meatiness on the long finish.

When to drink: It can be enjoyed now but will benefit from another 4 years in your cellar.

Drink with what: Roast Chicken with Rosemary and garlic.
