We have passed through our first real Cape Winter cold weather with snow turning places like Sutherland into a Winter Wonderland worthy only of Walt Disney.

The Cape really has weather rather than a climate and on many days you can experience all four seasons in one from bucketing rain at one moment to brilliant sunshine with the air fresh and crisp and polished by the rain.

And now the Cape is showing the first signs of spring. The oaks are pushing out their delicate green shoots, jasmine showing the first shy blooms and out on the winelands, the whole process of the vintage starts as the first buds appear on the vines after the recent pruning.

Burgundy Lovers Festival in Johannesburg – 15th August
Wine Concepts will be hosting their second Burgundy Lover’s Festival in Johannesburg on Thursday 15th August 2013 from 17h00 – 20h00 at The Wanderers Club, Corlett Drive, Atholl.

It’s the month to taste seductive Sauvignons!
August is here and that means it’s time for Wine Concepts to host its 11th year of its exclusive Sauvignon Blanc and Cabernet Sauvignon Festival which takes place in Cape Town at The Vineyard Hotel and Spa in Claremont on Friday 30th August from 17h00 to 21h00.

We have free tastings at our Newlands Shop every day from 4pm till 6pm and on Saturdays from 11am till 2pm.

Kloof Street – Cape Town
At our Kloof Street shop we have tastings Tuesdays to Friday from 4pm till 6pm and on Saturdays from 11am till 2pm.

Blu Bird – Johannesburg
At our Blu Bird shop we have tastings Monday to Friday from 4pm till 7pm and on Saturdays and Sundays from 11am till 2pm.
